Job Title: Technical Professional Consultant (DRM)

Duration: 3 Months (90 Working Days)
Location/Duty Station: Quetta, Balochistan
Required Education
- An Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in Disaster Risk Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, Climate Change, Environmental Sciences, Development Studies, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or another relevant field. “
Required Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience in disaster risk management, disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, humanitarian or development programming, policy development, institutional strengthening or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing or revising national, provincial or sectoral policies, strategies, plans or frameworks related to DRM, resilience or climate change.
- Demonstrated experience in integrating climate change adaptation, risk-informed development and resilience into policies or strategic frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in institutional, governance and stakeholder analysis, including development of practical implementation and monitoring frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in participatory and multi-stakeholder consultation processes, including engagement with government institutions, development and humanitarian partners, civil society and communities.
- Relevant experience in Balochistan’s disaster risk, climate resilience, humanitarian or development context, including familiarity with provincial and district institutional arrangements.
- Understanding of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), community engagement and Community Feedback Mechanisms (CFMs) is desirable.”
Language Requirements
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Knowledge of Urdu and/or local languages relevant to Balochistan would be an advantage.
