Statistics show that our youth might be academically
qualified but are still professionally challenged. They lack
professional skills required by the industry for entry level
position. Organizations are complaining that the graduates
in job pool lack even the most basic skills like telephone
skills, customer service skills, English language skills,
etc. There is a strong felt need to fill this skills gap
through training graduates in enable them to find gainful
employment.
The education being imparted in public and low quality
private schools/ colleges is not up to the mark and
according to what the industry requires in the ever changing
competitive industry.
Given the critical situation, employment strategies need to
be devised in order to tackle the menace of unemployment.
